P102M shabu seized, 2 pushers killed in Taytay

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives killed two suspected drug pushers and seized 15 kilos of shabu worth P102 million in a shootout in Taytay, Rizal on Tuesday night.

PNP chief Debold Sinas identified one of the slain suspects as a certain “Alvin,” said to be a known distributor of illegal drugs at the CALABARZON, National Capital Region and nearby regions. The second fatality remained unidentified.

Sinas said the suspects were killed in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group , Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Rizal provincial police office and Taytay police.

The operation was conducted on Highway 2000 in Barangay Sta. Extension in Taytay at around 11:55 p.m.

Recovered from the suspects were 15 kilos of shabu, a Nissan Cefiro with plate number WPT 539, and two fully-loaded 9mm pistols.

Police said Alvin is one of the distributors of another drug peddler, Michael Lucas, who was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite last Monday night. Lucas yielded 10 kilos of shabu worth P68 million.
