TWO suspected Chinese drug dealers were arrested and 15 kilos of alleged shabu worth P102 million were seized in an anti-narcotics operation in Malate, Manila last Monday night.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) spokesman Derrick Carreon identified the suspects as Bin Hu, 42, and Jiangkang Liang, 40, residents of Davao City and Makati City, respectively.
Carreon said Hu and Liang were nabbed in a buy-bust operation conducted by PDEA and Manila Police District operatives at the CCP Bay Terminal parking lot in Barangay 720 in Malate at around 6:45 p.m.
They were arrested after handing over a kilo of shabu, worth P6.8 million, to a PDEA agent who posed as a buyer.
Also recovered from their possession were 14 more kilos of shabu worth P95.2 million; the buy-bust money; and a mobile phone.
In Quezon City, another suspected drug dealer was also arrested by PDEA and PNP operatives last Monday night.
Carreon said Richard Allan De Asis, 40, of Muntinlupa City yielded a kilo of shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted at around 8:32 p.m. in front of a restaurant at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
Also seized from him were the buy-bust money, a Ford Lynx car, a mobile phone, an identification card, a Chinese tea bag, and a brown paper bag.
