P10.2M shabu seized; 2 dealers nabbed in Las Piñas

OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two suspected illegal drug dealers and seized 1.5 kilos of suspected shabu worth P10.2 million in Las Piñas City last Sunday afternoon.

A report from the PDEA identified the suspects as Jomar Abas, 28; and Mohamidin Radzak, of General Salipada K. Pendatun and Kabuntalan towns, respectively, in Maguindanao.

Abas and Radzak were nabbed by PDEA operatives in a buy-bust operation at Block 10, Lot 3, Veraville Townhomes 1, Faith Street, Barangay Talon Sinko in Las Piñas City at 3:15 p.m.

The operation was conducted in collaboration with the PNP Drug Enforcement Group and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, the PDEA said.

Aside from the shabu, also seized from the suspects were the buy-bust money, a Toyota Vios car, a black bag, two identification cards, three analog phones, a notebook with drug transactions, a bundle of unused transparent plastic bags, and a  small weighing scale.

In Zamboanga City, military and police personnel arrested five individuals for illegal possession of drugs, firearms, and ammunition, the AFP Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) reported yesterday.

Westmincom named the suspects as Mark Ian Basilio Rodriguez, Joebert Bazan Macario, Mark Anthony Felix Go, Roderick Rivera Zapanta, and Rizaldy Jamilla Saludar.
