A FEMALE security guard on Sunday turned over suspected shabu with a street value of P1.3 million left in the baggage counter of a Makati supermarket to the Makati police.
Lt. Ronnie Ereño, deputy sub-station 9 commander of the Makati police, said the shabu, wrapped in two eco bags, was turned over by Jessiebell Maravilla Artana, a lady guard of MRB Security Agency.
Police said at about 2 p.m. last Friday, June 26, a man left the eco bags at the baggage counter of the Uni-Mec Supermarket in Barangay Comembo and left.
The next day, June 27, at around 2 p.m., a man tried to claim the eco bags but these were not given to him because he failed to present the counter stub.
The eco bags were inspected last Sunday and were found to contain a white crystalline substance or suspected shabu.
Two persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal on Sunday, with P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu seized.
Col. Renato Alba, Rizal PNP provincial director, identified the two as Lea Hernandez, 27, and Josemarie Luciano, 27.
