ELEVEN persons were arrested and P1.1 million of suspected shabu was seized in Pasig, Mandaluyong and Marikina yesterday.
Brig. Gen. Johnson Almazan, Eastern police district director, identified the 11 as Marlon Airan, 40; Aldrian Figueroa; Joemar Mangulamas, 20; his brothers Khalid, 30; Faisad 26; Arnel, 22, and sister Jessa, 26; April Paro, 37; Cris Pederiane, 36; Bainot Mangulamas, 27; and Bryan Capillan, 39.
Seized from them were 22 sachets of suspected shabu.
Police also seized 115 grams of suspected shabu worth more than P750,000 and nabbed three alleged drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations in Pasay City from Monday night to Tuesday morning.
Operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Pasay City Police conducted an anti-illegal operation on Pag-Asa St., Barangay 185 Zone 19, Maricaban at about 11:10 p.m. and nabbed two alleged drug pushers identified as Maria Theresa Bornales, 34, and Lorenzo Oliva, 42.
Seized from them were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 20.5 grams with an estimated value of P139,400.
In another buy-bust operation on Putohan St., Barangay 46, Zone 6 at about 12:30 a.m., police nabbed an alleged drug pusher identified as 18-year-old Rod Tayson and seized suspected shabu worth more than P600,000. — Christian Oineza and Rod Lagusad
