THE Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) yesterday said it is not connected to the administration of a website that publishes information and details of the agency’s programs.
In a public service announcement, the OWWA said it does not own the website that can be accessed through the address owwamember.com.
“To the public, we have learned that there is a website that provides details regarding the programs and services of OWWA,” said OWWA.
“However, this website is not connected or affiliated with OWWA,” it added.
The agency said it only has one official website, which is owwa.gov.p h.
“Do not believe posts that did not come from verified websites,” said OWWA.
The advisory comes after the OWWA website experienced more than 17,000 times of hacking attempts last month.
