THE Professional Regulation Commission has ordered the cancellation of Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) in five countries due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Called off were exams set on July 31 to August 2, 2020 in Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.
“Due to the increasing number of confirmed COVID-19 in the Middle East countries and Singapore, causing global uncertainties and the imposition of foreign travel restrictions, the PRC cancels the conduct of SPLE for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs),” the PRC said.
Data from the WHO showed that Saudi Arabia has 127,541 cases, followed by Qatar (79,602), UAE (42,294), Singapore (40,604), and Kuwait (35,920). — Gerard Naval
