NEW coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases reported by the Department of Health stood at 3,651, just 77 higher than new infections reported last Tuesday.
In its latest bulletin, the DOH said the total number of infections in the country rose to 3,623,176 while the toll climbed to 54,690 counting the 69 more additional deaths for a case fatality rate of 1.51 percent.
The current positivity rate in the Philippines stood at 16.5 percent among the 29,970 tested samples on February 7.
From 105,550 last Tuesday, active cases dropped to 96,326, with over 87,000 mild cases and more than 4,100 asymptomatic cases.
The health department also reported 12,834 additional recoveries, raising the number of survivors to 3,472,160. The DOH said the recovery rate stood at 95.8 percent.
