NEARLY 8 million have registered so far to vote for next year’s elections, with many more expected to register starting October 11 when the list-up resumes.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said as of last count, 7,994,821 have registered, nearly double the poll body’s initial target of new registrants.
Voter registration resumes on October 11 in all Comelec offices and satellite registration sites and will end on October 30. — Gerard Naval
