THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed family food packs and non-food relief items to 1,892 families in Kabacan in Cotabato who had been affected by severe rains and flooding in the past days.

The DSWD Field office in Region XII (Soccsksargen), together with Cotabato Province Board Members Jonathan Tabara and Ivy Dalumpines Balitoc and former Board Members Alberto Rivera and Rosalie Hallado-Cabaya, distributed the food packs and relief items to the evacuees who were forced to flee their homes.

DSWD Region XII Director Loreto Cabaya Jr. reported to the department’s Central office that recent heavy rains and subsequent flooding in Kabacan town resulted in significant damage to homes and loss of livelihoods.
