NCR stays under Alert 1

THE Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases last night approved the recommendation to retain the Alert Level 1 status of the National Capital Region (NCR) from May 16 until 31.

Presidential Communications Secretary and acting Presidential Spokesperson Martin Andanar said also under Alert Level 1 during the same period are: Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Baguio City in the Cordillera Administrative Region; Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Dagupan City in Ilocos Region; Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and city of Santiago in Cagayan Region; Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Angeles City, and Olongapo City in Central Luzon; Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Lucena City in CALABARZON; Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and Puerto Princesa City in MIMAROPA; and Albay, Catanduanes, and Naga City in the Bicol Region.

For the Visayas, under Alert Level 1 are Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Bacolod City, and Iloilo City in Western Visayas: Siquijor, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City in Central Visayas; and Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Ormoc City, and Tacloban City in Eastern Visayas.

The IATF also placed the following Alert Level 1: Zamboanga City in the Zamboanga Peninsula; Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, and Iligan City in Northern Mindanao; Davao City in the Davao Region; and Surigao del Sur and Butuan City in CARAGA region.

The IATF likewise placed the following component cities and municipalities under Alert Level 1 for the same period: In Luzon, Kiangan, Ifugao in CAR and Balud, Masbate; and Irosin, Sorsogon in Bicol.

For the Visayas, under Alert Level 1 in Bohol are Calape, Garcia Hernandez, San Isidro, and San Miguel; in Cebu: Alcoy, Borbon, Oslob, Pilar, Santander and Tudela; in Negros Oriental: Bacong, Dauin, Valencia (Luzarriaga), and Zamboanguita; in Samar: Tarangnan and Zumarraga.

For Mindanao, also under Alert 1 are Mahayag in Zamboanga del Sur, Diplahan in Zamboanga Sibugay, Kalamansig in Sultan Kudarat, and Upi in Maguindanao.

Effective May 16 until 31, the following provinces, HUCs, and ICCs will be under Alert Level 2: Benguet, Ifugao in CAR, Quezon Province in CALABARZON, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan in MIMAROPA, and Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate, and Sorsogon in Bicol.

For the Visayas, under Alert 2 are Antique, Negros Occidental, Bohol, Cebu Province, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Northern Samar, and Western Samar.

In MIndao, also under the stricter alert level are the City of Isabela in Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, Lanao del Norte, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental, General Santos City, North Cotabato in Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Basilan, Cotabato City, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
