THE door remains shut on coach Aldin Ayo in the NCAA.
Seven months after his unceremonious exit from the UAAP, the NCAA is standing its ground that the former University of Santo Tomas and Letran tactician will not be able to call the shots anew in the country’s oldest collegiate league.
For now, there are no talks about Ayo in the NCAA, according to a highly-reliable Malaya-Business Insight source.
“Hindi napag-uusapan,” the source said. “Respeto na lang sa Letran.”
Ayo, who guided the Knights to a crown in his one and only year in the NCAA in 2015 as a rookie strategist, remains suspended indefinitely in the UAAP.
UAAP executive director Atty. Rebo Saguisag said last November that the league is waiting for the findings of government agencies on the alleged Sorsogon bubble before it acts on Ayo’s appeal to reconsider his ban.
