THE National Bureau of Investigation yesterday said it had turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency P11 billion worth of illegal drugs seized by its operatives in Infanta, Quezon last March.
NBI OIC Eric Distor said the turnover last April 25 and 26 of 1,855 kilograms of suspected shabu was in compliance with the order issued by the Infanta Regional Trial Court.
The drugs were seized in an operation conducted by operatives from the NBI Task Force Against Illegal Drugs last March 15 in Barangay Comon, Infanta together with personnel from the NBI-Research and Analysis Division and NBI Lucena District Office, PDEA and the local police.
The operation also resulted in the arrest of 10 suspects in the act of transporting the suspected illegal drugs on board three vans.
