THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday suspended processing clearances in Metro Manila and four nearby provinces which will be under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) for the next two weeks following an upsurge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) transmission in the areas.
Aside from Metro Manila, NBI officer in charge Eric Distor said the processing of clearances in the provinces of Rizal, Laguna, Cavite and Bulacan are also suspended until August 18.
“All Clearance processing and satellite offices in the aforementioned areas will be closed for the duration of the MECQ or quarantine period. The public is, therefore, advised of the cancellation of all clearance transactions during the quarantine period,” Distor said.
