WHILE the Quiapo Church is temporarily closed to undergo disinfection, devotees of the Black Nazarene may follow the image of the Black Nazarene when it visits the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila this Thursday and Friday.

“In solidarity with the celebration of Traslacion 2022, the replica image of the Black Nazarene will visit the Manila Cathedral on January 6 and 7,” the Manila Cathedral said in a social media post.

It said the image is set to arrive at 2 p.m. on Thursday, with the Manila Cathedral to stay open until 10 o’clock.

On Friday, two Holy Masses will be held for the Black Nazarene at the Manila Cathedral at 7:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.

“We call on all faithful to observe the basic health protocols so that their visit to the Black Nazarene will be safe and orderly,” said the Manila Cathedral.

The Quiapo Church has been temporary closed from January 3 to 6 to give way to disinfection amid the recent surge in COVID cases in Metro Manila.
