Western Visayas wage board sets public hearing

THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – VI yesterday announced the holding of a public hearing for the minimum wage rate of Western Visayas workers on October 8.

In a social media post, the Western Visayas wage board said there will be separate public hearings for the minimum wage rate of private sector workers and domestic workers in Iloilo City.

“Inviting interested participants to join the first leg of the public hearing on minimum wage adjustment for Panay and Guimaras Island this coming 08 October 2025,” said the RTWPB-VI.

It said the public hearings are set to be held at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Mabini St., Iloilo City.

First to be conducted is for workers in the private sector from 8:30 to 11:30 am, followed by the one for domestic workers from 1:30 to 4:00 pm.

Covered by the RTWPB-VI are Iloilo City, Iloilo Province, Antique, Aklan, Capiz, and Guimaras.

The last wage orders in Western Visayas took effect on November 17, 2024.

These set the minimum wage rates in Western Visayas to P480.00 to P513.00 (private sector workers), and P6,000.00 (domestic workers).
