THE Supreme Court has designated the University of Sto. Tomas as the national headquarters for this year’s Bar examination.

This marks the first time that UST will serve as the main hub for the exams since it was decentralized in 2020.

Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier, who is this year’s Bar exams committee chairperson, said UST’s role as national headquarters shows the Judiciary’s strong commitment to integrity and excellence in holding the Bar exams.

“The act of serving for the 2025 Bar exams is never a burden. It is always a privilege. Serving the people is always an opportunity to lead, to uplift, to inspire,” Lazaro-Javier, a UST alumna, said in a statement.

Aside from being the national headquarters, UST is also one of the 15 testing centers for the Bar exams.

The other testing centers in Metro Manila are San Beda University, New Era University in Quezon City, Manila Adventist College in Pasay City, San Beda College-Alabang, University of the Philippines-Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, and Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in Makati.

Outside Metro Manila, the testing centers are Saint Louis University in Baguio, University of Nueva Caceres in Naga City, University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City, Central Philippine University in Iloilo City, Ateneo de Davao University, Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation in Tacloban City and Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology in Iligan City.

The SC said 13,301 law graduates have registered for the 2025 Bar exams.

The Bar exams will take place over three days on September 7, 10 and 14, with the exams covering Political and Public International Law, Commercial and Taxation Laws, Civil Law, Labor Law and Social Legislation, Criminal Law, Remedial Law and Legal and Judicial Ethics.
