THE Legal Education Board (LEB) has warned the public that Tech Global University, also known as Tech Philippines, does not have the authority to offer law programs in the country.
In a notice dated May 19, the LEB said it received information that the institution is offering several law degree programs.
“This Notice is issued to warn the public that the Legal Education Board does not recognize enrollment in the said school,” it said, adding that these “unauthorized programs” include, but are not limited to, the following: postgraduate certifications in law, professional master’s degrees in law, and postgraduate diplomas in law, particularly in human rights and international law.
Tech Global University is in Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City. The public should contact the LEB through contact@leb.gov.ph for additional inquiries, it added.
“The LEB, in line with its mandate under Republic Act No. 7662, otherwise known as the Legal Education Reform Act of 1993, remains committed to ensuring the quality and integrity of legal education in the Philippines,” it added.
The LEB is an independent government agency created under that law to regulate and ensure the quality of legal education in the country.
