THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) yesterday said the two-day special job fair being held until today (Wednesday) at the SM Mall of Asia – Music Hall in Pasay City is not exclusively for displaced workers of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
In a social media post, the DOLE – National Capital Region (NCR) said the event is open to all looking for employment opportunities.
“Aside from workers affected by the ban on all POGOs, this activity is open to all job seekers,” said DOLE-NCR.
Yesterday (Tuesday), Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma led the opening ceremony of the special POGO job fair.
Approximately 12,378 job vacancies are offered by 790 employers across various industries in the job fair.
“(This activity) aims to assist displaced workers in finding new jobs following the ban on all POGO operations in the country,” said DOLE-NCR.
DOLE-NCR said interested jobseekers are advised to pre-register by visiting the link: https://tinyurl.com/projectdapat.
Would-be applicants are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and other required pre-employment documents to the job fair.
