THE trust and performance ratings of the Senate dipped while the ratings of the House of Representatives improved in the second quarter Tugon ng Masa (TNM) survey of OCTA Research from July 12 to 17.
The survey, which involved 1,200 adult respondents nationwide with a margin of error of ±3 percent, showed that the Senate’s trust rating went down to 49 percent from 57 percent in November 2024 while its performance rating dipped to 47 percent from 53 percent.
The House improved its trust rating to 57 percent from 49 percent and its performance rating went up to 55 percent from 47 percent.
The survey results showed the Senate scoring a majority trust rating in the Visayas at 68 percent and in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Mindanao at 52 percent each, followed by Luzon at 42 percent.
The Senate also obtained majority trust among socioeconomic Class E at 66 percent, followed by Class D at 40 percent and Class ABC at 33 percent.
Majority from NCR and the Visayas also expressed satisfaction in the performance of the Senate at 52 percent each, followed by those in Mindanao at 48 percent and Luzon at 42 percent; along with the majority from Class E at 55 percent, followed by Class D at 47 percent and Class ABC at 36.
OCTA Research found the House scoring majority trust and performance ratings across geographical locations and among socioeconomic classes D and E.
The House was most trusted in the Visayas at 64 percent, followed by Mindanao at 63 percent, NCR at 60 percent, and Luzon at 50 percent; as well as by Classes E at 63 percent and D at 57 percent, followed by ABC at 46 percent.
It also obtained its highest satisfaction for its performance in NCR and the Visayas at 59 percent each, followed by Mindanao at 57 percent and Luzon at 51 percent; as well as among Class E at 56 percent, followed by D at 55 percent and ABC at 49 percent.
