The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee agreed Thursday to grant physical protection to Sally Santos, owner of SYMS Construction Trading, a firm allegedly involved in illegally lending its contractor’s license for a fee.
Before answering questions, Santos requested protective custody from the Senate panel investigating anomalous flood control projects.
Committee chairman Panfilo Lacson approved Santos’ request for protection but warned that it would be revoked if she lied to the panel.
