ALL five top officials of the country saw a five to 13-point loss in their net satisfaction rating with President Marcos Jr. suffering the most decline, the December 12 to 18 survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed.
The survey which involved 2,160 adult respondents nationwide with a margin of error of ±2 percent, showed that the majority of Filipinos or 51 percent (down from 58 percent in September) are satisfied with the performance of Marcos in the last three months while 16 percent (from 15 percent) were undecided, and 32 percent (up from 26 percent) dissatisfied.
This resulted in a “moderate” net performance or satisfaction rating (percent of satisfied minus percent of dissatisfied) of +19 down from a “good” +32.
SWS defines a Net Satisfaction Rating of +70 and above as “excellent”; +50 to +69 as “very good”; +30 to +49 as “good”; +10 to +29 as “moderate”; +9 to -9 as “neutral”; -10 to -29 as “poor”; -30 to -49 as “bad”; -50 to -69 as “very bad”; and -70 and below as “execrable”.
The polling firm said Marcos’ net satisfaction score all went down across geographical locations and locales with the highest in Balance Luzon at “good” +38 (from +39), followed by Metro Manila at a “moderate” +20 (from +36), the Visayas at a moderate +18 (from +31), and Mindanao at a “poor”-18 (from +16).
By locale, the President’s net rating was a “moderate” +26 (from +38) in the rural areas and a “moderate” +13 (from +25) in the urban areas.
Marcos’ net satisfaction rating also fell to a “moderate” +21 (from +32) and +18 (from +31), among men and women, respectively.
SWS also found Vice President Sara Duterte’s net satisfaction rating down by 6 points, despite remaining in the “moderate” level at +21 (52 percent satisfied, 31 percent dissatisfied) from +27 (57 percent satisfied, 30 percent dissatisfied).
Duterte scored her highest net satisfaction rating in Mindanao at a “very good” +67 (from +71), followed by the Visayas at a “good” +32 (from +23), Balance of Luzon at a “neutral” +1 (from +11), and Metro Manila at a “neutral” -3 (from +15).
By locale, the Vice President’s net rating was a “moderate” +19 (from +23) in the urban areas and a “moderate” +24 (from +32) in the rural areas.
Duterte’s net satisfaction rating also fell to a “moderate” +16 (from +24) and +27 (from +31), among men and women, respectively.
SWS said Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero’s net satisfaction rating was down to a “good” +42 (61 percent satisfied, 19 percent dissatisfied) from a “good” +47 (64 percent satisfied, 18 percent dissatisfied).
Escudero scored his highest net satisfaction rating in the balance of Luzon at a “very good” +50 (from +48), followed by Metro Manila at a “good” +41 (from +53), the Visayas at a “good” +40 (from +49), and Mindanao at a “moderate” +26 (from +37).
By locale, the Senate President’s net rating was a “good” +38 (from +44) in the urban areas and a “good” +45 (from +50) in the rural areas.
Escudero’s net satisfaction rating also fell to a “good” +43 (from +46) and +40 (from +47), among men and women, respectively.
The polling firm said Speaker Martin Romualdez’ scored a net satisfaction rating of a “neutral” +9 (40 percent satisfied, 31 percent dissatisfied), down by 11 points from a ‘moderate” +20 (49 percent satisfied, 29 percent dissatisfied).
Speaker Martin Romualdez scored his highest net satisfaction rating in the Visayas at a “moderate” +23 (unchanged), followed by the Balance of Luzon at a “moderate” +18 (from +35), Metro Manila at a “neutral” +3 (from +12), and Mindanao at a “poor” -15 (from +13).
By locale, the Speaker scored a net rating of a “moderate” +18 (from +29) in the rural areas and a “neutral” +1 (from 12) in the urban areas.
Romualdez’ net satisfaction rating also fell to a “moderate” +11 (from +21) and a “neutral” +7 (from +19), among men and women, respectively.
SWS also found Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo’s net satisfaction rating down by 9 points at a “moderate” +14 (38 percent satisfied, 24 percent dissatisfied), from a “moderate” +23 (44 percent satisfied, 21 percent dissatisfied).
Gesmundo scored his highest net satisfaction rating in the Balance of Luzon at a “moderate” +22 (from +25), followed by the Visayas at a “moderate” +13 (from +19), Metro Manila at a “neutral” +9 (from +24), and Mindanao at a “neutral” +3 (from +22).
By locale, the Chief Justice scored a net rating of “moderate” +18 (from +25) in the rural areas and +11 (from 22) in the urban areas.
Gesmundo’s net satisfaction rating also fell to a “moderate” +12 (from +22) and a +17 (from +25), among men and women, respectively.
