A man was stabbed to death by his drinking companion during a heated misunderstanding in San Mateo, Rizal, last Saturday.
Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo, Rizal provincial police office PPO director, identified the fatality who died on the spot due to a stab wound to his chest as Jhoe, of legal age, a resident of San Mateo, Rizal.
The suspect, alias Kiko, is still at large and is the subject of a manhunt operation.
Investigation showed the two men and other neighbors were drinking on Morning Star St., Monterey Hills, Barangay Silangan at 6:30 pm.
It was theorized that both men were already drunk when a heated argument ensued between them.
Their drinking companions tried to pacify them but the suspect drew out a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
Homicide charges will be filed against the suspect.
