THE San Juan government yesterday distributed ₱50,000 each to five San Juaneño couples who have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Under City Ordinance No. 39, Series of 2022, or the Golden Wedding Anniversary Incentive Ordinance, married couples who are still married and will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary will receive P50,000 as an incentive from the San Juan government.
Aside from the golden anniversary incentives, Mayor Francis Zamora said they will also give P10,000 cash to citizens celebrating their 80th, 85th, 90th and 95th birthdays.
The ₱10,000 incentive was made possible by the national government’s Republic Act (RA) No. 11982 or the Expanded Centenarian Act, which grants a ₱10,000 cash gift to qualified octogenarians and nonagenarians.
