THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority yesterday warned motorists against a fake website masquerading as the recently-launched website of the agency where vehicle owners can check for violations related to the implementation of the No Contact Apprehension Program.

MMDA chief Romando Artes said they were informed of the fake website by the National Computer Emergency Response Team under the Cybersecurity Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology.

“Na-detect ng NCERT ang isang phishing website na ‘May Huli Ba.’ Ang malisyosong site tricks na ito ay humihingi ng sensitibong impormasyon tulad ng license plate number (The existence of the phishing website was detected by NCERT. The malicious site tricks vehicle owners into providing sensitive information like the license plate number of their vehicles),” Artes said.

“Maging alerto at huwag i-click ang mga kahina-hinalang website o links (Be vigilant and do not click on suspicious websites),” Artes added.

The MMDA chief said the official website for those who have NCAP-related violations launched early this week is mayhulika mmda.gov.ph.

Artes said the agency can also be accessed through its official social media accounts at Facebook @MMDAPH, Twitter: @MMDA, and

YouTube: @officialmmda

“The public can also call the MMDA Hotline 136 for their query or complaints,” Artes said.
