Public warned against unregistered inhalers

THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) yesterday warned the public against the presence of three unregistered inhalers in the market.

In its Advisory No. 2025-0683, the FDA said the public must avoid unregistered drug products Pastel Brand Pocket Inhaler Mango Scent, Pastel Brand Pocket Inhaler Translucent, and Dumble Inhaler.

“FDA Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS) activities have verified that the above-mentioned drug product has not gone through the registration process of the agency,” said the FDA.

“They have not been issued with proper authorization in the form of a Certificate of Product Registration,” it added.

This means that the FDA cannot guarantee the quality, safety, and efficacy of the said products.

“Therefore, consumption of such violative products may pose potential danger or injury to health,” said the FDA.

It warned all concerned establishments and/or entities not to distribute the products.

All local government units and law enforcement agencies are also called to ensure that the said products are not sold or made available in their areas of jurisdiction.
