THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) yesterday said it will deny admission to licensure examinations to graduates of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) which have no approval from the Com-mission on Higher Education (CHED) to operate board pro-grams.

In a public advisory, the PRC said it won’t allow graduates of such SUCs and LUCs to take any of the licensure examinations.

“The graduates of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) with no CHED authori-ty to operate board programs shall not be admitted by PRC for licensure examination,” said the PRC.

The agency said this is based on the provisions of CHED-PRC Memorandum Circular No. 01 – 2010 which requires state and local universities and colleges to get authority from CHED to run board programs.

“PRC strictly implements CHED-PRC Memorandum Circular No. 01 – 2010,” it said.

It urged all SUCs and LUCs to secure the required Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from CHED.

“This will help their graduates avoid inconveniences in apply-ing for PRC licensure examinations,” said PRC.

The PRC oversees the licensure examinations for 45 Pro-fessional Regulatory Boards.
