Pope Leo XIV is set to meet on June 12 with priests who are in Rome, including Filipinos, according to a report of CBCP News.

It said at least 50 Filipino clergymen are set to participate in the private audience with the pope at the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall which can seat up to 6,300 people.

“Priests come and go so it’s difficult to know exactly how many are assigned in Rome at any given time,” said Fr Gregory Ramon Gaston, rector of the Pontificio Collegio Filippino (PCF).

“(But) we’re very excited because we will finally have an audience with the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV,” he added.

Gaston said the meeting “is not exclusive for the priests of PCF, but for all priests serving in Rome.”
