A POLICE colonel has found himself in hot water after he was accused of committing acts of lasciviousness by a policewoman in Cagayan.
The colonel, assigned with the Regional Maritime Unit (RMU), allegedly committed the crime last Monday morning at the unit’s headquarters in the town of Lallo.
The incident was reported by the lady cop the following day.
A police report said the suspect asked the victim, a 26-year-old patrolwoman, to come to his office to assist with his laptop so he could join a Zoom meeting.
The officer briefly went to his quarters and when he returned, the victim told him that his laptop was already ready for the Zoom meeting.
Moments later, the victim noticed the colonel “staring at her maliciously.
“Suddenly, he grabbed the victim’s hands, hugged her tightly, caressed her hair, and sniffed her hair twice,” the report said.
The policewoman shouted and pushed the colonel but the latter “held her arms forcedly and silenced her by putting his finger on his lips.
“Then again, hugged the victim and tried to kiss her on her lips but (the) victim struggled and evaded him but still, he was able to kiss her forehead,” the report added.
The policewoman lodged the complaint before the PNP Women and Children Protection Center of the Lal-lo police station.
Investigators are looking into the case.
