THE Pasig government has advised senior citizens and persons with disability (PWD) to avoid going to payout centers early as it can work against them.
Mayor Vico Sotto said the start of the distribution of the payout would be around 8 a.m., but beneficiaries arrive as early as 4 a.m.
“Aside from the actual time, the additional waiting hours may also work against them depending on their health condition,” Sotto said. He added that before office hours, power systems in most government offices are usually turned off. This would mean beneficiaries may be exposing themselves to extremely hot or cold weather conditions while waiting.
