THE Pasig City government has provided aid to the victims of a fire that gutted a residential area in Barangay San Miguel which left two people injured and dozens homeless last January 9.
Mayor Vico Sotto, Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski, and other city officials led the distribution of aid to the victims while visiting the evacuation site where the affected residents are staying.
The aid includes food packs, water, kitchen utensils, cash, and other forms of assistance to help them recover from the disaster.
“Our mantra is to never say die, we will never yield, we will never give up. The city government of Pasig is with you in every step towards recovery,” Jaworski said.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze at Tambakan St. in Market Ave. started around 9 a.m. and reached the second alarm before it was put off past 10 a.m.
