THE Pasig government disclosed that it had handed gratuity pay to 18 of their job order(JO) employees who will be retiring in the first and 2nd quarters of this year.
Mayor Vico Sotto led the distribution of the gratuity pay to the retiring JOs who are 65 years old and above and assigned in different departments.
At the ceremony held at the 3rd floor of the People’s Reception Hall of the temporary Pasig City Hall, Sotto also expressed his thanks for their service and dedication in performing their work through the years.
The gratuity pay is made possible under Administrative Order (AO) No. 28, series of 2024 or “Authorizing the Grant of Gratuity Pay to Contract of Service and Job Order Workers in Government for Fiscal Year 2024.”
Under the AO, beneficiaries will receive not more than P7,000 one time gratuity pay. The mayor added that although there are more than half regular/permanent employees now at the Pasig local government, there are still JO workers.
