THE Pasig government urged families with relatives buried in the Pasig City Cemetery (Barracks) to coordinate with authori-ties on the transfer of their relatives’ remains.
Tombs at the cemetery may be affected by the city’s construc-tion of a columbarium and crematorium.
Families of the dead were asked to coordinate with the office of Pasig City Public Cemetery so they could be given a slot in the columbarium.
The Pasig Public Information Office (PIO) said the deadline for the transfer of the remains is January 31, 2026.
After the deadline, bones and remains will no longer be accept-ed at the Columbarium and will be placed in a mass grave. Concerned families or individuals can either call or go di-rectly to the Pasig cemetery office located on the first floor of the Pasig City Columbarium.
