Pasig fire leaves 24 families homeless

A man was injured in a fire that lasted for almost four hours and left 24 families homeless in a residential area in Pasig City on Monday night.

Reports showed the fire occurred at around 7:55 p.m. in one of the houses in Manggahan. The blaze reached third alarm before it was put out.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported that the victim was brought to a nearby hospital and was in stable condition after sustaining injuries while fleeing his home.

The cause of the fire and property damage is still under investigation. The Pasig government also began the distribution of provisions, sleeping, and hygiene kits to the residents.
