THE Pasig City government was named the Best LGU in Nutrition Governance during the awards ceremony at the Novotel Hotel in Quezon City on Sept. 11.
The Pasig City Nutrition Committee (PCNC) received the award for the LGU.
Councilor Boyie Raymundo, who is in charge of the nutrition office, also received the city’s second Green Banner Seal of Compliance Award and other recognitions.
The Green Banner Seal of Compliance Award is given to LGUs that achieve an overall rating of 85 percent or higher in the different dimensions of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI), spearheaded by the National Nutrition Council–NCR.
Pasig City was also recognized as the Best LGU in Nutrition Promotion, Best LGU in Infant and Young Child Feeding Program, and a grand prize winner for Best Local Nutrition Committee Social Media Account. The Pasig City Nutrition Committee vowed to further strengthen the implementation of the city’s nutrition programs.
