THE Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH) celebrated its 30th anniversary during yesterday’s flag-raising ceremony.
Dr. Alice Santos, hospital administrator, thanked the local government and Pasig residents for their support through the years.
Santos said the PCGH was established in 1995. It didn’t even have a 100-bed capacity and had only one operating room.
Today, the PCGH has a 200-bed capacity and six active operation rooms. It also has MRI and CT scans to meet the needs of Pasig residents.
Mayor Vico Sotto also thanked all the doctors and staff of PCGH.
“It not easy to run a hospital, especially a public one, but we do all we can in maintaining them,” Sotto said.
He added that the Department of Health gave PCGH an evaluation score of 99 percent. “Although it is impossible to get 100 percent, this makes us proud just the same,” Sotto said, adding they will continue to support improving the PCGH.
