OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group (PDEA) arrested a Nigerian who yielded P9.59 million worth of ecstasy tablets and shabu in Cavite last Friday night
PDEG named the arrested suspect as alias Keneth, 23, a resident of Barangay Molino II in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The suspect was nabbed during a buy-bust operation conducted by the PDEA in collaboration with the PNP at around 11:30 p.m. on Magdiwang Road in Barangay Molino II, Bacoor City.
Seized from him were 4,753 tablets of ecstasy and 284 grams of shabu with a combined worth of P9.59 million.
Also seized were four transparent plastic sachets containing a still undetermined amount of powder believed to be ecstasy.
“Alias Keneth will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Article II, RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,” PDEA said in a statement.
The PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) said it has arrested 34 high-value individuals and seized P25.69 million worth of illegal drugs during operations last February.
PDEG said it conducted a total of 37 buy-bust operations, two marijuana eradication operations, and served 25 arrest warrants and two search warrants.
“These strategic operations resulted in the apprehension of 68 drug personalities, including 34 high-value individuals, 19 street-level individuals, nine other wanted persons, and six most wanted persons,” PDEG said.
The operations also resulted in the seizure of 2.68 kilos of shabu, two kilos of dried marijuana, 30 ml of marijuana oil, and 95 ecstasy tablets, and the destruction of 35,002 marijuana plants.
