FIVE alleged drug dealers were arrested and seven kilos of shabu worth P47.6 million were seized in an anti-drug operation in Malolos, Bulacan last Saturday.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) named the suspects by their aliases as Joyce, 46; Christy, 21; and Caloy, 41; Carl, 19; and Russ, 20. The suspects are all residents of Malolos, Bulacan, PDEA said.
In a statement last Sunday night, PDEA said the suspects were nabbed in a buy-bust operation at 6:33 p.m. last Saturday in Barangay Tikay, Malolos.
The operation was conducted by operatives of the PDEA, Bulacan Provincial Police Office and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, PDEA said.
Seized from them were seven kilos of shabu inside seven brown-gold packs with “Freeso-dried Durien” markings with a standard price of P47.6 million.
Also seized from the suspects were cellular phones, the buy-bust money, and identification cards.
They will face charges of drug possession and sale of illegal drugs under RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Also last Saturday, PDEA operatives dismantled a drug den after a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Juan, Hilongos, Leyte.
Four individuals were arrested, including the alleged drug den maintainers identified as Loloy and Boy and three drug den visitors, alias Bong, Noel, and Roni.
PDEA said they also caught a minor inside the drug den and referred the minor to the Department of Social Welfare and Development “for immediate intervention.”
Seized during the operation were 52.54 grams of shabu worth P357,272 and various drug paraphernalia.
