Seized from Budoy were two plastic sachets containing 1.43 kilos of shabu worth P9.72 million, a 9 mm pistol, and a magazine with four bullets.

Budoy will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 and violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban.

In Benguet, PDEA operatives raided two marijuana plantations in Barangay Tacadang in Kibungan town on Monday and Tuesday, leading to the seizure and subsequent destruction of 30,800 marijuana plants worth P6.16 million.

PDEA operatives uprooted 24,000 marijuana plants worth P4.8 million at one of the raided plantations. Also uprooted were 6,800 marijuana plants worth P1.36 million at the other plantation.

“The operatives torched all the marijuana plants on-site,” PDEA said in a statement.

No marijuana cultivator was arrested during the operations.

Authorities discovered a kitchen-type shabu laboratory at a house in Tanza town in Cavite last Tuesday morning, PDEA said.

Firefighters went to the house on Leon Fojas Street in Barangay Sahud-ulan where a blast was reported.

PDEA said the firefighters found drug paraphernalia, equipment, and various types of chemicals, prompting them to coordinate with PDEA and the PNP.

During an inspection, PDEA confirmed the equipment and the chemicals were being used in the manufacture of shabu.

“Upon further search, various types of dangerous drugs were also found on-site,” PDEA said.

PDEA said four drug personalities — two Indonesians, a “Chinese-looking” individual, and a Filipina — are at large. PDEA said the four are being pursued by PDEA operatives.
