FIVE drug dealers were arrested and P10.4 million worth of shabu and marijuana were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga del Sur and Benguet on Wednesday.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified one of the suspects as Nasrodin Macari Acmad, 32, resident of Barangay Poblacion, Sultan Naga Dimaporo town in Lanao del Norte.
Acmad was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Carlos, Tukuran town in Zamboangal del Sur, PDEA said.
Seized from the suspect were a kilo of shabu, worth P6.8 million; a paper bag, plastic containers, a cell phone, a Kawasaki motorcycle, and the buy-bust money.
The four other suspects were arrested in a similar buy-bust operation in Barangay Betag, La Trinidad town in Benguet.
PDEA did not identify the four. However, it said they are all male and are residents of Benguet and La Union.
Seized from their possession were 30 kilos of marijuana leaves with stalks, and a Toyota Fortuner sports utility vehicle where the illegal drugs were loaded.
PDEA said the suspects arrested in the two operations will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
