MORE than 180,000 eCards have been distributed by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in just over a year since its upgraded version was launched.
In a social media post, OWWA shared that a total of 180,663 eCards have been distributed to its members from July 2024 to August 2025.
“In order to strengthen and expedite services for our Bagong Bayani, the OWWA has recorded a total of 180,663 eCards distributed,” said OWWA.
From July 2024 to April 2025, a total of 83,357 eCards have been distributed.
The distribution was enhanced as 97,306 eCards were distributed from May to August 2025.
Last year, the OWWA launched the eCard Version 2.0 for its overseas Filipino worker (OFW) members.
The OWWA eCard serves as a form of identification that allows its members to avail of OWWA services such as welfare, scholarship applications, training, and other social benefits.
It can also be presented by OFWs for travel tax exemption as well as access to OFW Lounges and Seafarers’ Hubs.
