MANILA – Over 250 stakeholders pledged support Friday for the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) programs during the 2025 Charity Summit.

“Real impact happens when government, institutions, and civil society unite to bring charity and healthcare closer to Filipinos,” said PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, stressing the importance of collaboration.

Robles cited President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s recent directive to strengthen and modernize the nation’s healthcare system as PCSO’s guiding mandate.

DSWD Undersecretary Monina Josefuna Romualdez highlighted how collective charity efforts generate widespread kindness, while Presidential Action Center head Ryan Joseph A. Sarte underscored the moral duty of taking part in charity partnerships.

The summit included open forums, program exhibits, networking, and the “Handprints on the Commitment Wall,” where participants vowed continued dedication to public service.

PCSO plans to expand healthcare access with new medical equipment for government hospitals, mobile health and dental clinics, and sea patient transport units for remote island communities.

The agency also awarded ₱4.4 million through its Institutional Partnership Program (IPP) to partners including Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines, Inc. (₱1 million), Father Palau of Panguntacan (₱500,000), Onesimo Foundation, Inc. (₱400,000), St. Vincent Home, Inc. (₱800,000), and Social Action Center of Pampanga (₱600,000) to support vulnerable sectors.

The Nutrition Foundation of the Philippines, Philippine Sports Commission, and Philippine Red Cross received ₱296,000, ₱246,000, and ₱593,000, respectively.

Mandated by law, PCSO remains committed to aiding government social welfare programs through these partnerships.
