THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has tagged a policeman from the Northern Police District (NPD) as among the four men involved in a recent robbery and “motornapping” case in the city.
“One suspect has been positively identified and will face appropriate criminal and administrative charges,” the QCPD said in a statement yesterday.
The QCPD did not identify the erring lawman but said he is assigned to the District Personnel Holding and Accounting Section of the NPD.
The policeman was identified through the continuing investigation on the incident that occurred on the night of May 17 along Edsa Balintawak corner NLEX Cloverleaf in Barangay Unang Sigaw, Quezon City.
Initial investigation showed the victim, identified only as Allan, was flagged down by the suspects who were aboard a black Toyota Fortuner sports utility vehicle.
The suspects, who reportedly introduced themselves as police officers, then handcuffed the victim and robbed him of his cash and cellphone. The suspects also took the motorcycle of the victim, who was later freed.
