NO long weekend this time.
Malacanang said Bonifacio Day will be observed this Saturday, November 30.
“No movement of the holiday,” Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said in a message to media yesterday on questions about whether the observance of Bonifacio Day, which falls on a Saturday, will be moved to Friday, November 29, as previously practiced.
The Marcos administration has been implementing holiday economics wherein the observance of holidays that fall on weekends is moved to either the closest Friday or Monday to give the public a long weekend that they can use to spend more time with families as well as to visit tourist destinations to promote local tourism.
