Police said information about the activities of the suspect came from small-time drug dealers who were earlier arrested in previous operations.

Aside from the shabu, police also seized from Jessie’s possession the buy-bust money, bank transaction slips, identification cards and a mobile phone.

“This major arrest was not instant. This was preceded by a series of intel-driven operations targeting small-time drug personalities who shared valuable intelligence resulting from the identification and arrest of this high-value individual,” said Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin, director of the National Capital Region Police Office.

In Pasay City, a 62-year-old female identified only as Aida was nabbed last Wednesday afternoon at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 for possession of 2.02 kilos of shabu worth P13.76 million.

Aida was found in possession of the shabu during a routine security screening, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

The suspect was scheduled to board a flight to Bacolod City when arrested, PDEA said.

Also seized from here were a cellular phone, a digital weighing scale, travel documents, and identification cards.
