A motorcycle rider died last Wednesday after his vehicle was hit by a wayward truck in Angono, Rizal.
Police identified the fatality as Eduardo Manalac, 55, a resident of Barangay San Roque Hills, Antipolo City.
He was rushed to the Rizal Provincial Hospital System Annex in Angono for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Mitsubishi Fuso truck identified as Randy Dacuya, 48, of Tondo, Manila was arrested and will be facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. The motorcycle rider was traveling on an upward slope along Don Mariano Santos Ave. in Barangay San Isidro while the truck was on the descending portion of the road when its driver apparently lost control of the brake.
