THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority yesterday urged motorists to contest or appeal their traffic citation tickets through the agency’s online filing platform.
MMDA chief Romando Artes said this would save them time and hassle, instead of going to the agency to personally lodge their appeals.
“Sa online filing platform ng MMDA, mas pinadali ang pag-contest o pag-apila ng natanggap na traffic citation ticket (Using the online filing platform of the MMDA would enable them to easily contest or appeal their traffic citation tickets),” Artes said.
He said 62 cases were resolved through this set-up last year by the agency’s Traffic Adjudication Division.
“Ang platform na ito ay nagbibigay-daan sa mga motorista na magsumite ng kanilang mga apila nang hindi na kinakailangang pumunta sa opisina ng MMDA (Through this platform, motorists can appeal their cases without going to the MMDA office),” the MMDA chief added.
He said motorists who want to use the online filing platform may do so by scanning the QR code or by clicking the link https://bit.ly/3J62YhH where they can upload documents as the Unified Ordinance Violation Receipt (UOVR), driver’s license, and Official Receipt/Certificate of Registration (OR/CR) of their vehicle.
Artes said motorists can submit their petition or appeal from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
