President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. surveyed the damage in earthquake-stricken Bogo City, Cebu province on Thursday, visiting a community of earthquake survivors grappling with the disaster.

Marcos visited the Yolanda Housing Village in Barangay Polambato, where the 6.9-magnitude tremor collapsed homes and claimed eight lives.

The site, originally built to resettle survivors of Supertyphoon Yolanda in 2013, was among the areas most severely affected by Tuesday’s quake.

Several cabinet members, including Public Works secretary Vince Dizon, Tourism secretary Christina Frasco, Education secretary Sonny Angara, and Social Welfare secretary Rex Gatchalian, along with Cebu governor Pamela Baricuatro and other local officials, accompanied Marcos on the visit.
