The Mandaluyong government signed a sisterhood agreement with Gasan, Marinduque to strengthen relationship between the two local government units (LGUs).
Mandaluyong Mayor Ben Abalos Sr, and vice mayor Menchie Abalos signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Gasan Mayor Rolando Tolentino and Vice Mayor Lidany Baldo.
Tolentino who used to live in Mandaluyong thanked city officials for signing the sisterhood agreement.
Under the sisterhood agreement, both LGUs have agreed to cooperate and exchange best practices in the fields of tourism; trade; commerce and Industry; science and technology; culture and arts; urban planning and development; education; sports development; environment protection; public health; and social services. Mandaluyong City and Gasan, Marinduque would also assist each other during in times of disasters and calamities.
