MORE than 37,000 employment opportunities are set to be offered to jobseekers when the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) holds the annual Labor Day Job Fair in different parts of the country.
In a social media post by DOLE, Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) Director Patrick Patriwirawan said over 37,000 job openings will be made available in 63 job fair sites on May 1.
“For our Labor Day celebrations, we have 452 participating employers and they have posted at least 37,695 job vacancies,” said Patriwirawan.
He said the manufacturing industry has the most job offers, with around 8,000 employment opportunities.
Other industries with the highest vacancies are business process outsourcing with 4,000; retail with 3,000; finance and insurance with 2,000; and food and accommodation with 1,000.
The top job vacancies are call center representatives, microfinance officers, service crew, production officers, and sales clerks.
